flower perfection

i found (stole) the first picture from east side bride. yes, i'm obsessed with her blog. these are my favorite flowers as of july 2008 (i.e. when i got engaged and started researching flowers). they are called anemones. i first saw them in a martha stewart wedding mag used in a bouquet. it was stunning. the one above is similar.
lately i've been thinking more and more about corsages. i know people are going to think i am crazy when they read this, but something about it is kind of glamorous. i'm not a bouquet kind of girl, so if i hold flowers i want them to be unassuming. i'm going to start searching for non-prom corsage-y pictures. maybe i'm being silly.

  1. Love the corsage idea. That way you can actually hold on to your flowers during the ceremony instead of handing it to your maid of honor. I'm excited to see what you find.

  2. i'm seriously glad you think so. i'm also glad someone else is up and blogging at this hour! haha... although, i think i'm the one that's up late!

  3. Girl you are RIGHT ON with the corsage idea! I just love it and it is so chic. Especially the big bunchy ones... I think it's a fabulous idea! Can't wait to go to the flower market!

  4. Anemones are so beautiful. They would look fab as a corsage. I love the lightness of the petals with the dark centre.
